Youth Ministry

Grace's Youth Group is a community of students committed to proclaiming and living the gospel of Jesus Christ on the North Shore for the glory of God and his kingdom.  The Youth Group welcomes all students in grades 7 through 12, including students who are not members or regular attenders of Grace Presbyterian Church.

Sarah Briggs and Aijalon Church are serving as our Jr. & Sr. High youth staff.

Aijalon is a junior at Northwestern University and regularly leads our singing during our Sunday worship.  Sarah is on Young Life staff at New Trier High School.  We are very excited by the opportunity to foster a strong partnership with YoungLife as our church and YL collaboratively seek to minister the gospel to the youth of our villages.

Below you will find an outline of Grace youth activities.  We are also listing YL’s New Trier meetings on the calendar as we believe these are great opportunities for youth from Grace to find christian fellowship and participate in reaching out to their peers with the gospel.

Weekly Gatherings

Sunday:

  • 8:30 am Worship
  • 10:00 am  Sunday School (5-6th & 7-12th classes)
  • 11:00 am Worship
  • 5:00 pm Junior High Boys Bible Study
  • Junior High Girls Bible Study is forming now - let Sarah know if you are interested!

Fusion 58 - fun events for all 5th-8th graders on the North Shore.

  • February 19: Extreme Trampoline
  • March 4: Broomball

Connecting to Young Life at New Trier

  • Campaigners - a weekly Bible study for 9-12th graders on Sunday from 7:30-9:00 pm
  • YL Club - is controlled chaos for 9th-12th graders.  Club is an outreach event where everyone is welcomed. It is high energy, full of surprises, exciting and fun! Club also gives highschoolers a low-key opportunity to learn about and consider Jesus and the gospel. Locations switch weekly.  Club is Monday nights from 7:47 until 9.
  • WyldLife Club - a fun, safe, high energy environment for any 7th and 8th graders in the New Trier district. For a little over an hour, we hang out, sing, play games, and hear a story about Christ's love. Any 7th or 8th grader is welcome! Locations switch every other week and we meet two Thursday’s a month from 7:15-8:30.
