Children are highly regarded at Grace Presbyterian Church. All that we do with and for our children is done to point them to Christ, His redeeming love, and to see our need for Him in our lives as Savior and Lord. Our goal is for your children to feel warmly welcomed, hear the Good News of Jesus, and make new friends every time they are at Grace. On Sunday mornings we have special teaching times during which our aim is to “Bring the heart of the Gospel to the heart of the child.” We want our nurseries and classrooms to be safe and caring places where even our littlest ones begin to sense the love of Jesus through the love of our teachers and caregivers.
Sunday Mornings for Children

10:00 Nursery, Sunday School for all ages
11:00 Nursery, playroom and children’s church
During the 8:30 and 11:00 worship services our paid caregivers staff rooms for babies through pre-kindergarteners.
Children’s Church is offered for kindergarten and grade school children. Children are dismissed after the announcements. Leaders take the children to the Guild Room for a Bible lesson and follow-up activities. Children are returned to their parents during the closing hymn. Children are always welcome in the worship services.
At 10:00, Sunday School classes are offered for all ages. Children (2 year olds through kindergarten) are grouped by ages and grades (elementary school). Children are promoted in the fall and we follow the public school age guidelines. Generally, when siblings or guests request to be put together they are put in the class of the younger child.
Rooms open all morning:
Little Lambs Nursery: for babies – two-year-olds, second floor at the top of the stairs
Little Lions Room: for two-year-olds through pre-kindergarten, second floor last room down the hallway on the left
Sunday School rooms:
Little Lions: two and three year olds (2 by Sept 1), meet on the second floor, last room on the left
Big Bears: Pre-k and kindergarten (4 by Sept 1), meet on the second floor, first room on the right
Grades 1 and 2, meet on the second floor, second room on the right;
Grades 3 and 4, meet in the Guild Room; To get to the Guild Room go up the stairs to the second floor, all the way down the hallway, down the stairs; the Guild Room is on the left. It is the only room on that mezzanine floor;
Grades 5 and 6, meet in the Vesting Room, across the hallway from the chapel;
We use Show Me Jesus by Great Commission Publications. GCP's Sunday school curriculum disciples children by grounding them firmly in God's Word as they learn about the great love Jesus has for His children.
